AKG UK is proud to announce that we have been awarded two Supported Employment Quality Framework (SEQF) delivery contracts as part of Staffordshire County Council’s new Connect to Work programme.
Connect to Work is a Department for Work and Pensions-funded programme offering free, voluntary supported employment support to eligible residents who face barriers to employment. This includes disabled people, individuals with long-term health conditions, and others who may need tailored help to move into sustainable paid work.
Two Lots Awarded to AKG UK
Out of six delivery lots across Staffordshire, AKG UK will be delivering SEQF services in:
- Southwest Staffordshire
Covering Stafford, South Staffordshire and Cannock Chase - Southeast Staffordshire
Covering Tamworth, East Staffordshire and Lichfield
These contracts reflect the trust placed in AKG to provide high-quality, person-centred employment support across the county.
About the Connect to Work Programme
Connect to Work is designed to help working-age adults who want to work, including those who are:
- out of work and needing intensive support (for up to 12 months)
- in work but at risk of losing their job (support available for up to four months)
Support includes job matching, confidence-building, skills development, employer engagement and in-work coaching to help people sustain employment.
The programme also works closely with employers, supporting inclusive recruitment and workplace adjustments where needed.
Our Delivery Partnership
AKG’s delivery model brings together the strengths of experienced partners, including Intuitive Thinking Skills (ITS) and Inclusion, part of Midlands Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (MPFT).
Together, we are committed to delivering an integrated supported employment service across both Staffordshire lots.
Looking Ahead
AKG UK is currently in the early stages of mobilisation, recruiting new roles and building relationships with local organisations, employers and referral partners across Staffordshire.
We want to ensure Connect to Work reaches as many eligible residents as possible and welcome collaboration with groups supporting individuals who may benefit.
