AKG has welcomed the publication of early information from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) outlining potential future approaches to employment support.
While detail remains limited at this stage, the notice signals the government’s intention to continue investing in large-scale employment programmes designed to support people back into work and strengthen the UK labour market.
AKG, an established prime provider on the Restart Scheme since 2021, sees this as a positive step towards shaping the next generation of employment support.
“It’s encouraging to see early engagement from the DWP on what future employment support could look like. Programmes like Restart have demonstrated the value of large-scale, outcome-focused provision, and we welcome the opportunity to contribute to conversations about what comes next.
At AKG, we bring significant experience in delivering complex, multi-regional programmes, alongside a strong track record of partnership working. As the landscape evolves, we are keen to work collaboratively with providers, commissioners and stakeholders to help shape solutions that deliver meaningful outcomes for individuals and communities.”
As part of its early engagement activity, AKG is inviting providers and potential partners to join a webinar to explore the future of employment support provision and discuss emerging opportunities.
The session will provide an opportunity to share initial insights, understand market interest, and begin conversations around potential collaboration.
