A new partnership between Intuitive Thinking Skills (ITS) and Cranstoun is helping people across Derby access joined-up support through Ambition Derby, a recovery and behaviour change hub based in the city centre.
The service supports people affected by substance use and other complex life challenges by bringing together recovery programmes, education, employment support, wellbeing activities and practical guidance to help people make lasting positive changes in their lives.
Recognising that lasting recovery often depends on wider life circumstances, Ambition Derby provides a welcoming, community-focused environment where people can access the support they need throughout their recovery. By bringing multiple services together under one roof, the hub helps people address the wider factors that can influence long-term recovery, including employment, housing, wellbeing and social connection.
More than recovery
People accessing the service can benefit from:
- Recovery programmes and peer support groups
- Employment and careers support
- Housing, benefits and financial guidance
- Mental health and wellbeing support
- Creative arts, music and community activities
- Volunteering and skills development opportunities
- Physical health and lifestyle support
Designed to feel welcoming and inclusive, Ambition Derby encourages people to play an active role in shaping both their own recovery and the ongoing development of the service. From learner-designed artwork displayed throughout the building to activities informed by participant feedback, the hub has been created with community at its heart.
Neil Roscoe, Operations Manager at Intuitive Thinking Skills, said:
“We are proud to support local people to make positive changes in their lives. Through our partnership with Cranstoun, we can offer a broader range of support that combines recovery, behaviour change, education, wellbeing and clinical expertise. Our aim is to create opportunities for people to build confidence, develop new skills and move towards healthier, more independent futures.”
The partnership combines ITS’s expertise in behaviour change, recovery, education and employability with Cranstoun’s clinical knowledge and intervention services, creating a joined-up approach that supports people to achieve positive, lasting change.
