AKG UK is proud to announce that we are now an accredited Real Living Wage Employer, reinforcing our commitment to creating a workplace where colleagues feel valued, supported and fairly rewarded.
The Real Living Wage is independently calculated each year based on the real cost of living. Unlike the Government’s National Living Wage, employers choose to become accredited by committing to pay eligible employees at least the Real Living Wage set by the Living Wage Foundation.
For AKG UK, this accreditation represents more than meeting a recognised standard. It reflects our commitment to investing in our people and creating a positive workplace culture where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
Laura Gibbon, Director of People & Culture, said:
“We’re proud to become an accredited Real Living Wage Employer because it reflects something that’s really important to us – looking after our people.
Our colleagues work incredibly hard every day to support the people and communities we serve. Becoming accredited is one way of showing that we value that contribution and want AKG to be a great place to work.
As we continue building One AKG, this is another positive step in creating a workplace where people feel respected, supported and able to thrive.”
Becoming a Real Living Wage Employer is part of our wider commitment to creating an inclusive, supportive and rewarding place to work. Alongside initiatives that promote wellbeing, inclusion and professional development, this accreditation demonstrates our focus on attracting, retaining and supporting talented people across the organisation.
Over the coming months, you’ll begin to see the Real Living Wage Employer badge across our website, recruitment materials and employer communications, highlighting our commitment to fair pay and responsible employment practices.
We are delighted to have achieved this accreditation and look forward to continuing to build a workplace where colleagues can succeed and make a positive difference to the people and communities we serve.
