In 2020, AKG, an Australian employment and education business acquired Learn Plus Us, a specialist education provider, and soon after, Jobs 22 was formed as a joint venture between Catch22 and AKG. Jobs 22 quickly built a reputation for compassionate and human-centred employability services, playing a key role in delivering the Department for Work & Pensions’ Restart Scheme across East Central England in 2021.
That same year, Jobs 22 also joined the DWP’s CAEHRS framework and became a Disability Confident employer. In 2022, we expanded our offer further by launching Healthfind, helping people overcome health barriers that prevent them from working, and we began delivering the National Careers Service in selected areas across the East of England.
Our focus on local expertise and integrated support continued to grow. In 2023, AKG acquired Intuitive Thinking Skills, specialists in behaviour change and peer-led coaching, and expanded careers advice into the East Midlands. By this point, we had built strong delivery teams across the UK and a network of local partners to provide joined-up support around work, skills, mindset, and health.
In 2024, our integration journey progressed further. We began aligning shared services across IT, HR and Finance and expanded our offer with new programmes such as Discovery in Cannock and Lichfield, and Destination Work in Warwickshire.
By June 2025, the transition to a single, unified brand – AKG UK – brought Jobs 22, Healthfind and Learn Plus Us together as one organisation, strengthening our ability to support people holistically across employment, learning, and health. Intuitive Thinking Skills remains a proud part of the AKG UK group, retaining its own identity and continuing to deliver specialist services across the UK.
