First Stage Expression of Interest (EOI) - Future Employment Support

DWP announced through a Pipeline Notice published on the 2nd April, their intention to replace the current Restart Scheme in 2028 with a  ‘Future Employment Support Programme’.  As an existing prime provider of the Restart Scheme in the East Central contract package area, AKG are preparing to bid for the Future Employment Support Programme, which is anticipated will be procured by DWP from the end of November 2026.  We are currently considering all potential geographical areas for the future programme, until we understand more about the nature of the future programme delivery requirements and the geographical make up of the contract areas.

However we are keen to engage with interested providers in further discussion and dialogue about the Future Employment Support Programme; and invite organisations to complete our First Stage Expression of Interest (EOI).  Please find here a link to the First Stage EOI Form. AKG Expression of Interest: Future Employment Support – Fill out form. There is no closure date for this EOI for the foreseeable future, but we urge you to complete this at your earliest convenience.

AKG commenced engagement with providers to discuss the Future Employment Support Programme at a Webinar held on 22nd April, a recording of which, including the presentation slides, can be found at here.

Webinar – The Future of Employment Support

AKG held an early engagement webinar with providers and stakeholders from across employment, skills and health services to engage in discussion in what the future holds for employment support.  Led by Graeme Fitzjohn, AKG Head of Strategic Partnerships with co-presenters Natasha Harvey, Business Development Director and Anna Trevers, Policy and Public Affairs Lead, the webinar set out to provide an overview of the Government’s objectives shaping the employment, skills and health landscape, to enable more people to access, sustain and progress in work.  The webinar also reflected on the recent Pipeline Notice published by DWP on the Future Employment Support programme, which is envisaged to replace the current Restart Scheme, being delivered by AKG in the East Central contract package area, in 2028.
