Frequently Asked Questions

What are Skills Bootcamps?

Skills Bootcamps are free, flexible courses of up to 16 weeks, giving people the opportunity to build up sector-specific skills and an offer of an interview with an employer upon completion.

“Our Childminder Bootcamp is more than a course: it’s designed to give you the skills and confidence to launch your childcare business. We’ve built a programme that gives you the knowledge and support to register with Ofsted and open your own childcare setting. Becoming a childminder means being your own boss, working from home and shaping a career that fits around your family.”

Kerri Burns, Head of Quality – AKG Learning
