Through the Government’s Jobs Guarantee, 100% of eligible wage costs are funded for six months. AKG UK is delivering the scheme, so we find the right person, help them get ready, and stay in touch once they start.

Is it right for you?
We work with employers of all sizes and sectors. Here is what a good Jobs Guarantee role looks like.
The role
- A real job, the same as one you would fund yourself
- Usually at least 25 hours a week, for six months
- Paid at least the National Minimum Wage for their age
- Mostly on-the-job, with no more than 20% of hours in training
- An extra role, not replacing or reducing existing staff
The young people
- Aged 18 to 24, referred to us by their local Jobcentre
- Ready to work and keen to get their first proper start
- Many have little work history, so this is their chance to prove themselves
- Supported by AKG before they start and throughout the six months
Your Questions Answered
Does it cost me anything?
Wages for up to 25 hours a week at minimum wage are covered, plus employer NI and pension. If you choose to pay
more or offer more hours, you cover the difference.
How do I get paid back?
You pay the young person through your normal payroll. Funding for the first six weeks comes through after that period,
then monthly after that. We pass it to you within five working days of receiving it.
How much admin is involved?
Our team will work with you throughout to make the process as straightforward as possible. We’ll guide you through each step, explain what information we need and support you with the paperwork, so you can focus on finding the right person for your team.
What happens after 6 months?
The funding ends. You are not required to keep the young person on, but we hope you will. If you do, we will support
them into the role as a regular employee.
What if it doesn't work out?
Talk to us early. We stay in regular contact and can usually sort issues out together. If someone leaves, tell us straight
away and we will look at next steps with you.
