Future of Employment Support – what it is and who it’s for

By July 27, 2026No Comments

On 23 July 2026, AKG hosted a webinar for current and prospective delivery partners on the Department for Work and Pensions’ (DWP) upcoming Future Employment Support (FES) programme — the successor to the Restart Scheme. Led by Graeme Fitzjohn, Head of Strategic Partnerships, Natasha Harvey, Business Development Director and Steve Howe, Head of Delivery Partners, the session recapped what’s known so far about FES: who it will support, the type of provision DWP expects to see funded, and the indicative procurement timeline running through to service go-live.

The webinar also set out AKG’s approach to building a delivery partnership across the Contract Package Areas (CPAs) it’s interested in bidding for as a prime provider, including how it supports and works alongside delivery partners day to day. Kylee Bates, COO at Brightpeak Group (parent company of WorkPays, a current AKG Restart delivery partner), joined to share her experience of that partnership in practice, before the panel took live questions from attendees.

Organisations interested in becoming a delivery partner can find out more and submit an Expression of Interest via AKG’s partnership portal.
