By October 26, 2026No Comments

AKG has begun delivering Connect to Work in Lincolnshire, providing personalised employment support to help local people overcome barriers, build confidence and move towards sustainable work.

Supporting more than 20,000 people each year, AKG has extensive experience delivering employment programmes across the UK, working with individuals, employers, commissioners and local partners to provide personalised support that creates lasting outcomes. This experience will now support part of the delivery of Connect to Work in Lincolnshire.

AKG was awarded one of the Connect to Work contracts available in Lincolnshire and has selected Lincoln City Foundation as a delivery partner to support the programme locally.

Connect to Work is a government-funded employment programme being delivered across Greater Lincolnshire by Lincolnshire County Council. It provides personalised support for people who may need additional help to find work, stay in work or return to employment.

Through the programme, people receive one-to-one support shaped around their individual circumstances, helping them recognise their strengths, overcome barriers and take positive steps towards employment.

Phil White, Operations Manager at AKG, said:

“We’re really pleased to be delivering Connect to Work in Lincolnshire and to have Lincoln City Foundation working alongside us as our delivery partner. AKG has significant experience supporting people who face barriers to employment, but strong local relationships are also incredibly important. Lincoln City Foundation brings valuable knowledge, connections and reach within communities across Lincolnshire.”

Martin Hickerton, CEO, Lincoln City Foundation, said:

“Connect to Work is a powerful example of what can happen when organisations come together with a shared purpose. Working with AKG, we’re able to reach people across Lincolnshire who might otherwise be overlooked, offering practical support, encouragement and a clear route towards employment.”

The programme brings together specialist employment support and strong local connections, helping ensure people can access support within their communities and receive help that reflects their individual circumstances.

AKG will work closely with Lincoln City Foundation, Lincolnshire County Council and other local organisations throughout delivery, with a shared focus on helping more people across Lincolnshire move towards and sustain employment.
